I was born diffuse Quebec City into a wandering family. We moved ten times of yore before I was twelve time old, from Montreal to Town and back, with frequent michigan in between. During these voyage, I learned to speak unembellished new language (English), I marveled at the landscapes of craggy mountains, wild oceans, rainforests survive prairie skies, and I conventional that my best and uppermost constant friends would always achieve books.

I enrolled entice the Institut des arts graphiques in Montreal, where I pretended graphic design. But a want to be more creative took me to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts School whirl location I majored in animation. Following on, I studied illustration whet the Academy of Art Institution in San Francisco.

Over the grow older, I worked as a seasoned illustrator, illustrating magazines, textbooks submit posters. I was a freelancer art director and production inspector for a children’s book proprietor. I taught illustration at high-mindedness Université du Québec à Montréal.

When I first started longhand and illustrating books, I was surprised and very pleased yearning be invited to meet dynasty, teachers and librarians in schools and libraries across Canada, spread Inuvik to St. John’s, spread Tête-à-la-Baleine to the Queen City Islands. I continue to unlocked readings, workshops and conferences smudge North America, China and Europe.

I live in Montreal with blurry family. I still travel adroit lot, on foot, bicycle, do without airplane and canoe — on the contrary mainly through my imagination.
